Viceroy Snowmass is the first hotel in Aspen/Snowmass and first luxury hotel to receive LEED Gold certification.
At Viceroy Snowmass we take sustainability seriously and we hope you will too. We are committed to meeting your needs while ensuring that future generations have the ability to visit and enjoy Snowmass. While aware of the impact that our industry has on the planet, we recognize sustainability as a process, a path and a journey — one to which are committed and excited about. We have taken a number of steps, highlighted below, to ensure we maintain a high level of environmental stewardship, create a healthy environment for our guests and continue staying on the forefront of sustainable hospitality.
- LEED GOLD - Viceroy Snowmass was designed and registered with LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) with a goal of Gold Certification.
- LEED defines ‘green building’ in an effort to have Minimal, Zero or Positive impact on the environment, and optimize building systems for high-performance, energy efficiency, and healthy living environment.
- ENERGY SAVINGS – Based on LEED standards our building is 30% more energy efficient than the design standard for traditionally constructed buildings.
- The building is equipped with improved insulation, high performance windows, and efficient and centrally controlled mechanical and electrical systems.
- LOW-FLOW FIXTURES – All of the fixtures installed in the hotel are low flow, meaning they use less water than ordinary fixtures.
- Viceroy Snowmass anticipates an annual saving s of 1.35 million gallons of water, or 31% better than without low-flow fixtures.
- GREEN HOUSEKEEPING – Our housekeeping staff utilizes our state-of-the-art Electrolyzer system which creates in house cleaning products that are non-toxic, non-allergenic ensuring that the air in your room is healthy, clean and fresh.
- WASTE MANAGEMENT – We have a comprehensive recycling program that includes plastic, glass, cardboard and paper.
Viceroy Snowmass Announces Ullr Nights
Every Friday night during the peak of winter season, we honor of the Norse God of Snow — Ullr — with Ullr Nights, a nighttime, winter wonderland party at Elk Camp on Snowmass.
Friends and family take an evening gondola ride up to Elk Camp for outdoor winter activities such as tubing, riding the new Breathtaker Alpine Coaster, snowbiking, s'mores and hot chocolate by the bonfire. Dance to live music and enjoy an a la carte culinary celebration sure to please any palate. After playing in the snow, kids can warm up inside with fun activities and entertainment available downstairs in The Tent.

Viceroy Snowmass Announces New Year's Eve Torchlight Parade and Fireworks Dec 31st
New Year's Eve in Snowmass is a festival of light. First, experience the spectacle of a traditional torchlight parade. Skiers and snowboarders ages 8 and up are invited to join in the fun. Later in the evening take in the sight of fireworks illuminating the sky and slopes. Also, look for a variety of prix fixe and à la carte specials at restaurants and bars around Snowmass Village.

This week-long extravaganza features a full schedule of parties, live music, comedy, great dining and, of course, skiing and snowboarding on Aspen Snowmass’ famous terrain.
Viceroy Snowmass Announces X Games 2019 January 24-27
The world’s premier winter action sports event returns to Aspen Snowmass for the 18th consecutive year. Watch as snowsports’ greatest ski, snowboard & snowmobile athletes’ battle for glory in 18 different disciplines over four days. This year, the X Games Aspen concerts feature the Chainsmokers, Kygo, Lil Wayne and Louis the Child. Most events are free to spectators. Musical performances require a ticket.
Viceroy Snowmass Announces Newsies the Broadway Musical January 10-13
Presented by Theatre Aspen's Winter Conservatory.
Newsies is the rousing tale of Jack Kelly, a charismatic newsboy and leader of a band of teen aged "newsies." When titans of publishing raise prices at the newsboys’ expense, Jack rallies newsies from across the city to fight for what's right! Featuring the classic songs “Carrying the Banner,” “Seize the Day,” and “Santa Fe,” Newsies is packed with non-stop thrills and a timeless message.
Viceroy Snowmass Announces 5Point Adventure Film Festival January 18-19
Join 5Point Adventure Film Festival as they kick off 2019 in Aspen on January 18 and 19, at the historic Wheeler Opera House.
This year, they are bringing two nights of programming and an additional program on Saturday afternoon for the young and young at heart. Ski and snow films intertwined with 5Point's classic mix of non-ski adventure films are sure to leave you on the edge of your seat and ready to live your best story in 2019. Hosted with special guests attending.
Viceroy Snowmass Announces MOONLIT TREK & DINNER February 16th & March 16th
By the light of the moon, take part in a snowshoe or cross-country ski tour around the Snowmass Golf Course followed by a lively pasta dinner and s’mores at Black Saddle Bar & Grille. Join an ACES naturalist for a guided tour at 6:00 pm and stop along the way for hot cocoa and cookies at Anderson Ranch Arts Center. Longtime local musician, Tom Paxton, will perform live throughout the evening. Treks occur on the Saturday closest to the full moon each month. Reservations required, dinners typically sell out.
Viceroy Snowmass Announces SILVERBOOM RACE & BBQ March 3rd
The Silverboom incorporates 2 freestyle (skate or classic) race distances of 5K and 15K, starting at 10:00 am at the Snowmass Cross Country Center. There is also a 1K Kiddieboom freestyle race once the 15K finishes. Afterwards, there’s a BBQ and series award ceremony for all of the Aspen Cup Series participants.

A 36-year tradition in Snowmass, Mardi Gras kicks off with the early morning Mother Of All Ascensions uphill race, followed by an afternoon of revelry with a traditional bead toss at 3:00pm, the Bud Light Hi-Fi Concert in Base Village and a finale of fireworks. Look for food and drink specials at restaurants and bars around Snowmass Village.

Viceroy Snowmass Presents Slash the Mass BANKED SLALOM March 23rd-24th
Now in its sixth year, Slash the Mass Banked Slalom takes place on Snowmass’ upper Garrett Gulch run. This snowboard-only event takes place on a custom built course featuring banked turns, berms, rollers and a unique bowled finish feature that’s fun for riders of all ages. Registration is open to the public.

Viceroy Snowmass Announces WILD & SCENIC FILM FESTIVAL March 14th
ACES and Patagonia Snowmass are thrilled to host the fifth annual Wild & Scenic Film Festival on Thursday, March 14th at 6:30PM at the Wheeler Opera House!
This special evening will showcase internationally acclaimed short films that both inform and inspire attendees to take action.
Proceeds from the event will benefit ACES' Tomorrow's Voices program, which provides civics and environmental leadership education to regional high school students.
The mission of Tomorrow's Voices is to cultivate responsible citizenship and ethical leadership in the youth of the Roaring Fork Valley.
